Pradip Chatterjee

Pradip Chatterjee is a founder member of the Bengali band Moheener Ghoraguli. He is the younger brother of Gautam Chatterjee.^[1] He was also a theatre person, filmmaker and ethnographer.

Also known as Bula, Pradip is a flutist and vocalist.

Career

An engineering graduate from the prestigious Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, which was then affiliated with the University of Calcutta, he joined the Calcuttan engineering firm M.N. Dastur, after the break-up of Moheener Ghoraguli. During the course of his service with the company (where he still works as a Chief Engineer), he travelled over many places from Orissa to Libya, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. but his quest for world-music was never deterred, but enriched by this varied experiences.

Currently, he resides in Kolkata, with his wife Sharmistha and daughter Anka and son Ritoban.
